Five Star Charters Response to COVID-19
Five Star Charters is Open for Business and
operating daily for:
- ocean charters
- bay trolling
- river trips.
In response to COVID-19, we are following
guidelines and procedures recommended by government agencies.
What passengers can expect from
staff and what we expect of passengers.
We will be following social distancing guidelines.
Ocean Charters have room enough to allow a 6'
distance, with the exception of inside the cabins. As a
result, passengers will be excluded from overcrowding in that part of
the boat and must be able and willing to be outside on the deck at the
proper distance for the duration of the trip. Passengers must also be
aware of this spacing while checking in at the office prior to the trip.
Loading and unloading at the dock and waiting for the fish to be
cleaned.
Reservations made prior to May 15, 2020 will be
given consideration for changes as a result of these new operating
procedures. Bookings and reservations made after May 15, 2020 will be
subject to the standard 30 day cancellation policy to receive any refund
and/or not be responsible for any balance due for reservations.
The Lottis Family and Five Star Charters would
like to thank all of our past customers over these years, and new ones
too, for fishing with us. We trust that you will find these new
procedures - put in place for your health and safety and that of our
staff - to be acceptable
and that you will continue to fish with us. We look forward to lots of
good fishing this season and hope to see you in Gold Beach.
Bay Trolling and River Trips
are on smaller boats with fewer people, but the same social distancing
guidelines apply.
FACEMASKS
Five Star Charters encourages the use of facemasks. Staff will
wear masks as long as it does not compromise the safety of the vessel or
passengers - i.e. while underway and on the water.
PLEASE BE PREPARED:
- To meet outdoors for check-in,
orientation, and fish cleaning.
- To remain on deck (not in the cabin)
for the entire ocean charter.
- To share the dynamics of your group
with us - household members, family members, separate individuals -
so we can properly plan for social distancing on the boats.
- To bring your own food, water, masks,
gloves, hand sanitizer, wipes etc.
- To tell us about your health on the
day of your trip.
- To pack in and out all of your own
items.
- To purchase your ODFW license in
advance of your trip.
- To provide a touch-free payment
method.
- To provide contact information for
each member of your party if future contact tracing
is needed.
- To STAY HOME if you or any members of
your party are sick or have an elevated temperature.
As always, the boat captains'
have final authority
over boat operations, and passenger and staff safety.
NOTE: BY BOOKING WITH FIVE STAR
CHARTERS YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THESE STATEMENTS AND HOLD FIVE STAR CHARTERS
AND CAPTAINS/GUIDES HARMLESS FROM ANY CLAIMS.
